Recently, the management committee of Lin-gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone released an article on "Comprehensive Efforts to Construct Five New Cities in Shanghai and Introduce 30 Major Industries and Livelihood Projects". The article mentioned that Shanghai Municipal Development & Reform Commission announced 30 significant functional items introduced into the five new cities of Jiading, Qingpu, Songjiang, Fengxian, and Nanhui on July 25, 2023.

Yew Chung International School of Shanghai Lingang has been included in the list of major functional items for 2023 in the new city of Nanhui. Its establishment will provide high-quality international educational resources, facilitating the construction and development of the new city.
