In recent years, Mainland China has placed great emphasis on and actively promoted a high-quality early childhood education system and highlighted that early childhood education quality assessment tools must be driven by the needs of children's health and well-being. An effective quality assessment tool for kindergartens can help administrators, teachers, and parents gain a clearer understanding of the educational quality implemented in kindergartens, identify issues, propose improvement directions, and provide more accurate data supporting for educational reforms.

YCCECE Research Team has adopted a rigorous research method to develop a kindergarten quality rating scale based on the "Guidelines for Evaluating the Quality of Early Childhood Care and Education". The content of the assessment scale has been published as a book called the "Chinese Kindergarten Quality Rating Scale."

The "Chinese Kindergarten Quality Rating Scale" evaluates the educational quality of kindergartens from five domains: school management, care and safety, educational processes, environmental setup, and teaching staff. It is primarily designed for assessing the educational quality of kindergartens for children aged 3 to 6. The traditional Chinese version of the book has already been published, and the simplified Chinese version is expected to be released in the first half of 2024. Please stay tuned!
