The Year 5 students' visit to the TESLA GIGA museum in Shanghai was a truly immersive and exciting learning experience. The opportunity to view a range of TESLA cars has undoubtedly sparked their curiosity and imagination, while the informative history of TESLA in Shanghai has given them a deeper understanding of the company's impact and significance. The live car sound and light show added an element of entertainment to their experience, making it highly memorable. The partnership with EDFutures from YCYW allowed the students to apply their learning by building their own prototype model car with sensors, which was an excellent way to encourage hands-on learning and problem-solving skills. This experience was undoubtedly a valuable one for the students, who will move on to designing and building their own Mars rovers in their current unit of Inquiry.
