    YCYW Trendy Toy Design Competition​

     

    The trendy toy design competition for Yew Chung and Yew Wah students is now officially open for entries!

     

    At YCYW, we value creativity and entrepreneurship, and it is committed to nurturing students' artistic sensibility, innovation, and adaptability to deal with our ever-changing society.

     

    In this design competition, we look forward to YCYW students showcasing the unique charm of cultural integration through their distinctive artistic perspectives and creative expressions.

    All currently enrolled secondary students at YCYW schools

     

    Theme

    Cultural Fusion: A Dialogue Between Tradition and Modernity

     

    Requirements for the Work You Submit

    • Design a trendy toy based on the brand colours of YCYW (red, orange, and blue)
    • The work should closely align with the theme and show the unique charm of cultural integration.
    • The work must not contain any obscene, violent, pornographic, defamatory, indecent, derogatory, or otherwise controversial and inappropriate content.

     

     

    Format

    Participating students are free to choose 2D, 3D, or hand-drawn formats to present their work.

     

    Requirements for Submission

    1. The work must be original and unpublished. Upon submission, YCYW will own the copyright of the work. Participants agree that YCYW has the right to use the work for official promotional purposes, including but not limited to, posting on official social media platforms and using it for official merchandise production.
    2. The work must be submitted as a digital image in JPG format, with a file size not exceeding 5MB.
    3. Each student may submit only one trendy toy design, which must include front, side, and back views.
    4. In addition to the digital image, participants must also submit the work's name and a brief description in both Chinese and English  (Within 150 characters in Chinese, and 300 words in English).

    Prominent Guests Will Share Insights into the Designer Toy Phenomenon

     

    On 8 April 2025, at the "Planet Leadership Series" event, we will announce ⁠the competition winners. Ms Karen Chen, Vice president of POP MART International Group, and Mr Xuan Yilang (Lang), artist and the creator of POP MART character Hirono, will participate as guest speakers. They will share their expert insights about the designer toys craze and discuss topics such as artistic creation, new-generation culture, and business innovation.

     

    This competition offers a unique opportunity to engage with the designer toy giant, POP MART, and it will provide an excellent platform to showcase your talent. We look forward to seeing your creative and imaginative works, as we explore the infinite possibilities of cultural integration together!
