On 12 August 2023, the first YCYW London Alumni Gathering of the new academic year was held at Lucarelli Restaurant in Knightsbridge, providing an opportunity for alumni to reconnect and forge new connections. About 20 alumni, from the classes of 1953 to 2017, gathered to share stories and strengthen bonds across generations.

Ms Karen Leung (YCIS-HK Class of 2003), the new YCYW Regional Alumni Representative for the UK, hosted the event, which symbolised that the UK Chapter of YCYW will be established soon. The community holds immense potential for professional networking and collaboration. YCYW alumni who will soon be first-year students at universities across the UK can take comfort in knowing that they can find a "home away from home" within our extended YCYW Family. Karen Leung and other UK alumni eagerly anticipate welcoming them at future events.

We extend our gratitude to Mr Terry Rivers, the first principal at YCIS-HK, and Mrs Nicky Harris, a former primary teacher at YCIS-HK, as well as all the participants, for their attendance. The gathering was a tribute to lifelong friendships and cherished memories of YCYW.
